The Salida Theater Festival celebras the power of live performance by bringing diverse and compelling theater to our community. We provide a platform for artist to showcase their work, engage audiences with thought-provoking storytelling, and foster collaboration within the performing arts. Through this festival, we aim to inspire, entertain, and stregthen the cultural hearbeat of Chaffee County.

Vision
We envision a thriving and dynamic theater festival that enriches Chaffee County’s cultural landscape, nurtures artistic expression, and deepens the community’s appreciation for live theater. By fostering meaningful collaborations and expanding access to theater, we strive to make Salida and Buena Vista a regional hub for innovative and impactful storytelling.
How it all started
The Salida Theater Festival had its first dates in 2023. A group of creative directors, producers, and actors decided to make a festival to highlight all the different shows produced during the same weeks in Salida, Colorado. This led to a learning experience and a craving for more.
